this is trend following indicator which works well as the timeframe gets higher and works well with the VIX going up.
it works like a moving average crossing over a price except with this afl instead of the price its a cluster of smaller moving averages and when this crosses over the larger set of moving averages you get a trading signal.
this afl could take a beating when used in rangebound markets.
